0-1 Strategic Definition & Preparation & Brief

OW-N appointed as furniture consultant by client.

We work closely with stakeholders to understand their key objectives and establish the project's furniture budget.

OW-N to ensure key milestone dates are added to the project programme; including showroom tours, order placement, delivery and installation.

1-2 Concept Design

We work alongside the design team to assist
and advise on specific furniture/lighting and accessory pieces into concept visuals.

We ensure commercial viability of the concept selection; i.e. are they in line with the project budgets set out in stage 1.

At this stage, we would identify any statement pieces which may impact on budget or programme.

2-3 Developed Design

Design team handover with a developed concept
design and space plans - OW-N to review and ensure the budget is met and programme is not impacted. 

OW-N would be appointed by the client to procure furniture or to stay on board as furniture consultant, sitting alongside the professional services team, to oversea tendering, technical and delivery process.

6-7 Handover, Close Out & In Use

OW-N Furniture’s delivery and installation team deliver to site. Any damages or snags will be picked up and photos taken.

An O&M manual will be provided to the client; this will cover the cleaning and maintenance for all items delivered. The client & our team will walk around for final sign off, where the delivery note is signed by the client. 

OW-N to resolve all defects and issue a final invoice.

5-6 Construction

OW-N to liaise with the project team to understand any site technical requirements, including AV, and the interaction with the loose furniture package. 

We will produce data sheets for each meeting room and an area that A.V. interacts with furniture - to be approved by the client.

Orders are then placed by ourselves and all are delivered to our warehouse allowing for a consolidated installation. We will issue a full installation programme to the team. Then complete a site survey and attend ongoing project meetings.

4-5 Technical Design

Working in conjunction with both the designer and
wider project team, we setup furniture showroom tours, arrange sampling and mock-ups.

If required, we suggest value engineering options, whilst maintaining the original design intent.
