OW-N is a creative studio offering design consultancy dedicated to furniture procurement and design for workplace and commercial spaces. We collaborate closely with clients, offering expert guidance to transform ideas into impactful, functional, and beautifully designed environments. Through a thoughtful and engaged process, we help unlock creativity, maximise value, and bring bold visions to life.
With founders Matt Short and Frans Burrows at the helm, our team at OW-N, which includes experienced product designers, procurement specialists, interior designers, planners, and sales coordinators, is able to partner with clients to establish a clear design intent for each project. OW-N’s hands-on approach means clients will experience a streamlined and integrated service, while our extensive design knowledge means we’re able to communicate efficiently and effectively with the interior designers, architects, project managers and contractors we work with, ultimately empowering them to specify the very best products.
We have established relationships with hundreds of suppliers around the world, but without affiliation to any, enables our team to offer independent and impartial advice to clients as well as access to our network of specialist fabricators for bespoke pieces.
Our clients’ projects are just as important to us as they are to them. Our service is attentive and personalised, delivered by a small, dedicated team who guide and support clients all the way, from shaping the design intent to delivery, installation and beyond.
Our Team
-
Founder and Managing Director Matt Short
Matt Short, who founded OW-N in December 2019 along with interior designer Frans Burrows. Having trained as a product designer at London South Bank University, Matt has worked in high-end design retail before becoming the sales director and partner for an international furniture procurement specialist. Matt’s aim with OW-N has been to establish a creative studio focused on design consultancy and furniture procurement and curation ensuring that the very best design intent from stage one of a concept is realised and then delivered.
With close client collaboration at the heart of Matt’s ethos, he strives for a streamlined and integrated approach to commercial projects, which enables him to remain very hands-on with each project. Consulting with designers, architects, and contractors and utilising Matt’s extensive design knowledge as well as access to an international supplier network of design-led furniture is key to OW-N’s point of difference. The studio also focuses on working with those who take an ethical and sustainable approach to design and fabrication.
A project of note for Matt is at 2 Bessborough Street, a flexible workspace for The Crown Estate, working alongside architectural studio Stiff + Trevillion. This task required coordinating over 20 suppliers with a strong emphasis on carbon neutrality and sustainability to create an agile concept offering.
